The preschool years are crucial years for children; they are probably the most important years of their education. Most three year olds are able to use or understand about 1000 words. By the time they are 5 years old they more than double their effective vocabularies. As their curiosity grows, they want to know more and more about everything. These are the years when children are eager and ready to learn. These are truly the formative years, marked by both intellectual growth and rapidly developing motor skills, and equally important, increasing social drive (their need for friends of their own age). All of these changes in three and four year olds make the preschool education necessary for later learning experiences.
Some parents say that preschoolers seem to talk too much. They frequently interrupt because what they have to say is still the most important thing in the world to them. Sometimes the preschool childs language is a never-ending stream of questions. This intense curiosity and deep thirst of knowledge shows that preschoolers are completely ready to learn. The LOVE OF LEARNING program helps your child keep this charmed desire to learn and their sense of wonder alive.
When three and four year olds start preschool, an important person enters their life: their teacher. The teacher is often the first adult friend children make on their own. If they like their teacher, they want their parents to feel the same way. It is amazing how much the preschoolers are aware of every detail of their teachers appearance. They respond to every shade of meaning in their teachers voice, every smile or frown. It is very important for the LOVE OF LEARNING PRESCHOOL teacher to have a university degree in the related area, experience in early childhood development, the right personality, a positive outlook, unlimited love for the preschoolers, and an enjoyment and passion for working with them.
